Adams USA Recondioners Statement and Guidelines
Adams USA recommends that football helmets be periodically reconditioned and recertified as part of a routine maintenance and inspection program.
Adams USA helmet can only be recertified by companies who are members of the National Athletic Equipment Reconditioners Association (NAERA) and who are following the National Operating Committee on Standard for Athletic Equipment (NOCSAE) standard specifications for recertification of football helmets.
Adams USA believes that NAERA members are skilled in reconditioning and recertification and do not need guidance from Adams USA on the particular steps a given reconditioning and recertification firm feels it must take to recertify Adams USA for return to play.
Adams USA does supply replacement and repair parts to be used in the reconditioning/recertification process. Only Adams USA manufactured replacement parts can be used as replacement parts for Adams USA helmets. This includes hardware, energy attenuating components, comfort components, paints and labeling. Failure to use Adams USA components will void any remaining helmet warranty.
